New Fantasyland Reveal! And other stuff!
Wow, I haven't blogged in a long time. That's because nothing terribly exciting has happened over the past 3 weeks. Well, overall. There have been a few highlights:
New Fantasyland was finally revealed yesterday. After months of being in soft opening it is a relief for it all to be over. The build up was intense. Disney went all out for the opening. On Wednesday night they had a media release party. I got to greet 2100 members of the media and various other people as they entered the park through Tomorrowland. It looked like a pretty rocking party especially when there was a DRAGON flying in the sky over New Fantasyland. It seemed like I was one of the only people who didn't know it was going to happen so I think I screamed when I noticed it. It look very, very real.
If you want to check it out head over to this blog that Disney created to promote the dragon. They have actually put out a surprising amount about something that is supposedly going to happen only once. I am so thankful I got to see it live, it was amazing.
On Thursday they had a big opening ceremony for the grand reveal. I did not go into the park because I did not want to deal with the crowds and I found out that you could order the event shirts online so I was fine with not being there in person. Apparently the ceremony itself was pretty awesome. Ginnifer Goodwin from Once Upon A Time was there as well as Jordin Sparks. From what I heard they did a great job making it extra special.
That night I got to do something a little different. I had to wear the Fantasyland costume and go to Coronado Springs Resort to work the New Fantasyland pin release. All limited edition pins.
If you want to meet some crazy passionate people then go to one of these pin released. There were people lined up since 11 am. The pin release started at 5.
We ended up starting at 4:15. There were hundreds of people there. The line went through the sue and around the room. It was insane. People were spending thousands of dollars just on pins.
It was quite an experience.
When everything was over we were able to buy the pins ourselves! And they also had the t-shirts there so it worked out really well for me, I didn't have to order it online. It was a lot of fun and I liked the change of pace from Tomorrowland.
On Sunday, December 2nd I went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party with Rebecca. It was so much fun and a much needed pick-me-up. We met 22 characters in one night!! Granted - a lot of them were together but still... I feel like that is some kind of record.

I had some of the best character meeting experiences. We danced with Phineas and Ferb, Scroog McDuck wanted to take my ring cause it was shiny, Goofy tried to leave with us. Santa made me cry, Winnie the Pooh and friends were hilarious together. It was more fun to meet the characters together because they like to play.
We also watched the shows and the parade and ate the complementary cookies and hot chocolate. I got some awesome pictures of the castle.

The Christmas party was way better then the Halloween Party except for the parade. The Halloween parade is still my favorite.
That is pretty much all that has been going on around here. I was supposed to run The Color Run this past weekend but the date got changed to sometime in January when I won't be here. I have so sad, I was really looking forward to it. I also went into the parks with Kellie and her boyfriend Alex, we had a bunch of fun. I also got all of my christmas shopping done and finished my class. I earned my Mouseters! Ba sum ch. That is really what it is, I'm not lying
Oh! And my very awesome mom has sent me an advent calendar. At home we have this gorgeous advent calendar that she fills with goodies and a mini nativity scene. I get to open one door a day. Well, obviously I am not home so she decided to send it to me! I have opened seven presents so far and am expecting a package with the rest any day now. My mom is the best, she knows how to brighten my day and everyday I get to open a mini present from here. Here is what I have gotten so far:
1. A snowman that you build and then watch melt.
2. A sheep
3. Chapstick
4. Another sheep!
5. A peppermint stick
6. A shepard
7. Vitamin C drops.
Thanks mom! I can't wait to see what the rest of the month will bring.
I guess stuff has been happening and I have just become a lazy blogger, resulting in this crazy long post. If you read through this whole thing props to you! I promise I will post more often. This weekend I am headed to Tampa, hopefully something exciting will happen there.
Love you readers! Thanks for stopping by!
