Classes and More = The Worst Title For A Blog Ever
Yesterday was the first day of classes. Today I did nothing. I was supposed to have class today but my professor sent us a message canceling it. Our first class now won't be until Monday.
I feel like I should have more interesting things to tell you, but I don't.
My classes were not all that exciting, but they have potential. Global Organizational Behavior sounds more interesting than I thought it was. Granted, I had no idea what it was. Apparently it is the study of the politics of business and how the organization of people within the business affects it. At least that is my description of it after reading the first chapter.
Sounds fantastic and my teacher is really peppy. Really, really peppy.
There are only 7 people in my Leadership capstone. Apparently only 7 people survived completely a minor that involved very little work. I don't know if this makes me proud of myself or just really sad for them.
My HR class sounds not all that exciting and not all that hard. Some presentations and projects. HR does not thrill me but my professor seems charismatic and interesting so hopefully it will exceed my expectations.
I have finished editing my book, got the manuscript approved, and have ordered myself a proof so that I can check on the quality of the picture I choose for the cover. Just so everyone knows, I switched from the desert to a waterfall. Iguazu to be specific. So if you were expecting to buy a book that has a picture of the desert on the cover that is not what you are going to get. It stresses me out and makes me think that people will be confused by the change. People don't like change. But my mom reassures me that books change covers all the time and that it will be fine.
I hope it will be fine.
People don't like change.
Please prove me wrong, people!
Here, have a picture of the most adorable couple ever on Kellie's 22nd Birthday:
Oh, and on Saturday I drove up to Disney to see Molly compete in Dance Team Nationals. She was fabulous and it was even more fabulous seeing her. Her team performed in two events and I was only able to see the second one because there were a million people there!
It was at the Wide World of Sports, a place that I have never been. I had to park two miles away in the overflow parking and then stand in the mile long ticket line and I only had twenty minutes until the CCSU team was scheduled to perform.
Eventually a woman came out with an envelope and started to sell tickets for cash only. So I forfeited trying to get my cast member discount and paid the full thirty dollars.
Then I had to stand in the horrible line to actually get into the venue, basically ran to the building, and ended up missing them for a few minutes. I was so mad. So incredibly mad.
But, I was able to see Molly, eat a terrible hotdog, watch them perform their pom routine and witness them not making it to the finals for either event. So sad.
I did bring my camera and took fabulous pictures of them.
It was fun. And seeing Molly was absolute perfection. I miss her so much!
Random anecdote:
Every year my church in Connecticut does this thing called star gifts. On Epiphany, or Three Kings Sunday, you choose blindly, and at random, a star. On that star is a word. A word for you to reflect on for the year. Last year my word was patience. This year I go the word hospitality.

It came right after a lengthy discussion I had with my dad about
what I want to do with the rest of my life, which probably has something to do with guest service.
What.
That is a weird, weird coincidence.
God is sending me a weird, weird, message.
Weird, weird.
