Happy 2013!!
I got home from work last night at 5am. The blinking street lights had already changed back to normal, the sky was turning purple, and my roommate was already awake and getting ready to leave for work.
Magic Kingdom knows how to party, that is for sure. Their fireworks are generally spectacular but I have no words for how amazing these were. They were 360 degrees around the entire park. It was breath taking.
Here, watch a video. It was taken from the Polynesian Resort so you can see the whole effect:
After the fireworks are over and the entire park turns into a dance party. There is a DJ on the castle stage but he is pumped through every speaker in the park. They also handed out noise makers to everyone at 4pm, that got annoying really fast.
Being in the park on New Years Eve was worse then Christmas Eve. It was practically shoulder to shoulder. But if you don't mind, have a lot of patience, and don't need to go on any rides, I would highly recommend experience it. I am so glad that I was there, it started 2013 off with a bang!
I now only have two shifts left. I am actually going to be really sad that I am leaving. I have gone seasonal though, so I can pick up random shifts through the semester if I want to see people. So, I guess it won't really be goodbye.
