Foiled!
My life plans have been foiled. Arrg!
I went to a presentation about The Disney College Program, one of the coolest things that exists. You go to Disney, work for them, and live like you are on a college campus. You can take a few classes but the credits don't transfer to UT do I would be doing it just for the experience. I know a lot about it already so even though I learned a little at the presentation the real reason that I went was to ask if there were any options for the summer. I have been scouring their career page and nothing has been turning up so I wanted to find out from a real person.
It turns out that there is nothing in the summer. Nada. Zero. Zilch.
This is extremely saddening.
You see, my plan was to do something at Disney this summer so that I didn't have to take a semester off to do The College Program, and then do the program once I had graduated. But now there is nothing in the summer. AND I found out that most of the professional internships require you to do the college program. So, I would rather do the program earlier so that right after I graduate I can go right into a professional internship. But now what I am going to do this summer!!
But I am so excited about the program that I am ok with taking a semester off. I think I am going to do it next fall. Now I need to figure out the rest of my plan for the next two and a half years. Hopefully I can fit everything that I want to do into that short amount of time.
