Obsessed? Or Passionate?

Disney is my favorite place in the entire world. This is not a lie. When I was little, every time my parents would ask me where I wanted to go on vacation I would enthusiastically yell DISNEY WORLD!!! It took me until my junior year of high school, until I started applying for colleges and actually started thinking about the rest of my life, that I realized the passion for going to Disney World was actually a passion for Disney as a whole.

Ben Gates: We don't need someone crazy. But one step short of crazy, what do you get?
Riley Poole: Obsessed.
Ben Gates: Passionate.

Disney is my passion. I want to work there, live there, be there all the time. I love it so much. There really are no words. Disney will come up in many places, you will see.

But, being a college student in Tampa, trying to figure out how to make it to my goals, and not having very much money, it is hard to go up there all the time. We did make it up there two weekends ago, and it was fabulous.

I went with a bunch of my Theta sisters including all three of my roommates.

We went to Blizzard Beach and then to Downtown Disney. It was a gorgeous day, barely a cloud in the sky and almost 90 degrees. We went on almost all of the slides and laid in the sun.

Because we were all Thetas we did a lot of kiting.

When we were eating lunch a little boy came up to us and asked us if we wanted the two, tiny, chocolate cakes that he had. He knew he wasn't going to eat them and he didn't want to waste them. Of course, we said yes and split them between the eight of us. They were delicious and it made our day.

Blizzard Beach closed at five but we didn't want to go home just yet so we ventured to Downtown Disney to see what shenanigans we could stir up there. First, we ate at Planet Hollywood, most of us had not been there and after we found out that it was basically the movie version of The Hard Rock Cafe we were all really excited. It was just as awesome as we had hoped.

After dinner we pretty much stirred up trouble, first by singing Journey songs at the top of our lungs and then in the different stores. Especially the toy store.

The best part of the whole day, though, came right when we were about to leave. At the stage that is right across from Ghirardelli Chocolate there was some show going on where a guy was playing random songs and teaching people the dances to them. They were playing an N'sync song and since N'sync is the greatest band ever we all started dancing to it. There was a little boy who was also getting his jam on and his parents told him to dance with us, that we would dance with him. But he got really shy and hid behind his mom, it was adorable.

Then, the Cha Cha Slide came on and since that is awesome we all started doing the dance to it. The best part was that random people started to join in with us, and watch us. We danced the whole song and then the Cupid Shuffle came on, which, in my opinion is more fun than the Cha Cha Slide. So, we all started doing that dance and even more people joined, watching us and trying to do it along with us. Some guy was even video taping us. The whole thing was completely surreal. It was like we had started our own dance party or flash mob in the middle of Downtown Disney. I wish we could have stayed even longer. I really believe that we were touched by a little but of Disney Magic.

Things like that are exactly the reason that Disney is my passion. Because anything can happen when you are there.
