Happy Almost Thanksgiving/Beginning of Vacation!

Today is the start of my vacation (Woohoo!) but I am already a little bored. I chose to stay here, on campus, for Thanksgiving instead of flying home to Connecticut. Last year, when I returned, it was really hard to get back into school mode after being at home for almost a week and since I officially go home for winter break on December 18 I decided that I would rather stay here. My roommate left yesterday to fly to her aunt's house and Kellie left an hour ago. Now it is just me. Well, Kelicy is here, but she is at work and will be at work again tomorrow until she goes home so I pretty much feel like it is just me.

Don't get me wrong, I am definitely looking forward to the time to myself, but loneliness and boredom come on very quickly. At least I have a few movies that I want to watch and some work that I can get ahead on. I also won't be completely alone for Thanksgiving itself. I am driving out to Rebecca's house and eating with her family, and I am really looking forward meeting her family.

For now I am doing laundry and catching up on some T.V shows. Then, I am having lunch with Rebecca when she gets out of class. A pretty boring day.

Yesterday we filmed one of the last scenes of Rebecca's movie, we only have one more 10 second scene to shoot after everyone come back from break. Then we are done and I will be really sad.

The scene we shot was someone's death scene, and we did it on campus. Of everything we have done we were only nervous for this. Every single one of us was nervous because our lead actor was going to be screaming for help in the middle of campus. Rebecca notified campus security so that if anyone did report an attack they would know that it was just us but it was still nerve-wracking. For the beginning of break the campus was still full of people and so there were groups walking by constantly. We had to stand around off camera and reassure people who looked concerned when he screamed for help. It was terrifying but  we pulled it off and the scene looks awesome. Here is the beating the poor pavement got:

Yes that is blood, well, fake blood. But it looks pretty creepy doesn't it? It is still there this morning and it looks so real. I really hope someone walks by it and questions why there is a red hand print. After we finished shooting it we went to the editing room and Rebecca cut together a rough cut of the scene, it looks phenominal. I can not wait till you all see it. You will love it.

But now I need to get back to being bored, maybe I will organize my closet. Hmm.

Happy Turkey Day!
