Spring 2015 - Day 45
Today was a study day, the first study day since before Japan.
And we had an 8:30am lifeboat drill.
So much for sleeping in.
I had gone to bed very early though, so the lifeboat drill wasn't too bad. Especially because we saw dolphins during it!
I laid out in the sun for the majority of the day and treated myself to a deck 7 cheeseburger for lunch. In the afternoon I had my discussion section for World Mythologies. Our TA decided that we would be using the next two discussion sections to review and prepare for the midterm, so that was good. I am not particularly looking forward to the midterm because our professor told us it will be all essay questions, which are the worst kind of question.
After my discussion section I blogged, did a bit of homework, and just relaxed in my cabin.
In the evening I went to the gym and absolutely killed it. It has been forever since I have worked out consistently like I have been and it feels amazing.
It took me a really, really long time to cool down from the gym. When I came out Jessi was getting ready for her turn and she asked me if it was hot in there. It wasn't, I was just pushing it that much.
This is a rant but I am just so proud of myself.
Anyway, I then did some drawing for my art classes. I actually had a fair amount to do for them.
It was a lazy day, and a boring day. But I spent it with my own thoughts and that was nice. I think I was more relaxed because we have three days at sea before our next port, instead of two. That gives me more time to catch up on blogging. It helped that Singapore was only two days and didn't contain much.
I was glad that they addressed the Burma situation last night at dinner. While they haven't said anything else about it we have been pressed to go to the pursers desk to fill out our entry forms for the country. Also, they squashed any rumors that would have floated around the ship and I appreciated that. Ship rumors can get exhausting quickly.
