Lugging Luggage Is Not All That Fun
Today we left our hotel in London and took a train down to Southamton which is where I will be boarding the ship tomorrow.
Here's all of the luggage that we needed to lug around:
Mine are the two giant duffles and the backpack. There weren't any luggage racks on the train and so we needed to put them in seats. I'm pretty sure everyone was completely annoyed by us, especially since they made an announcement saying don't but luggage in seats, but we couldn't so much about it.
We went to TGI Friday's for dinner, where our waiter made fun of us for ordering American cheeseburgers. We talked to him about the US, apparently he has only been to NYC and found it boring, but it is very similar to London so I don't blame him. He's going to LA soon with his girlfriend and we told him that he would enjoy it. He was very awesome.
He also was wearing suspenders with lots and lots of pins on them. When we first got there I complemented him on them and he told me that they fall out all the time. I told him I feel his pain. Later, I asked him how I could get one of them and he told me I couldn't, but later he came back with one for me.
Most other students are staying at the hotel at the airport because SAS is shuttling people there tomorrow. I've decided to just relax alone in our hotel room tonight since I will be spending the next four months trapped on a ship with people.
My postings may become much less frequent starting tomorrow once I board the ship and wifi becomes scarce. I will be able to post to my blog via email so don't worry, I won't fall off the face of the earth. Although not having my phone on me all the time is already making me feel like I have fallen off the earth.
I think that when I post from email, the pictures will all end up at the end of the blog, I can't choose where they go. That is, if I can even include pictures. So, I apologize for the future awful formatting, and possible really wordy, picture-less blogs.
I am in love with their one £ coins. We need dollar coins.
Cheerio! See you on the ship!
Basically, we went from one small, cramped hotel room to another small, cramped hotel room. My aunt was complaining about how small and not five star it was; I told her about our hotel from coaches trip and that in comparison, this was fantastic. She did not believe me.

Apparently it means personality. He picked that one because we had great personalities. The other ones were for passion and some other P word that I can't remember. I love getting pins from interesting places.
They had this sign on the wall. I need this other places.
After dinner we tried to walk down to the dock to see the ship, but the security guard wouldn't let us go all the way down there. My mom and my aunt are headed to the ship now for a parents only reception, they get to see it before me!
