Happy Mother's Day!
Today is Mother's day and so I just want to talk about how awesome my mom is. I'm pretty sure that she is the best mom ever. And I am not just saying that because I am her daughter.
I am also not just saying that because she just flew down to Florida so that I wouldn't have to drive back up to Connecticut all alone.
I am saying it because I would not have been able to survive the last year without her.
When I was little my mom was still the best. She never left me without the things I needed or the things I wanted. She always put me before herself. Her influence has undoubtedly helped shape the person that I am today.
When I got older she let me make my own decisions and realize things for myself. Even now, she urges me to do what I please. To forage my own path.
The past year has not been easy, and has been filled with more downs then ups. I have used her as a crutch many times and she has helped keep me from falling to pieces from many miles away. I call her almost everyday, and I am not ashamed about the extent that I need my mom. I would not have survived without her.
I now know that she is there whenever I need her, as a non judgmental ear. Both as a mom and as a friend.
When I become a mom in the very far future, I want to be just like my mom. I want to shower my children with love and give them everything they want and more. And then I want to let them make their own decisions and find their own way and be there for them to fall on when they need it.
My mom makes me feel safe and loved and free. I love her so very, very much.
Thank you mom for everything you have done for me. You mean the world to me and I don't know what I would do without you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I love you. Happy Mother's Day.
