The Real World Grabs Hold
The past few weeks I have been helping Kellie figure out where she is going to live in the fall since she decided to not sign her current lease again. She managed to get a room on campus and then we were thinking of moving into an apartment together in December when I get back from Semester at Sea. My dad then had a brilliant idea. Why not get an apartment now? She would just live in it alone until December when I got back, it would be way cheaper and we would be able to apartment hunt together.
So I spent the past week looking up apartments and today we went and checked them out. It was a struggle to find them because apparently a lot of places don't like having two full time students on the lease. But I found one place that was beautiful and had everything we wanted and was in a location that we wanted.
Apparently we liked it a lot. Because we filled out applications and have a move-in date of August 23rd.
What.
I'm freaking out.
I'm especially freaking out because we chose a 12 month lease which means that I will definitely be in Florida through the summer.
This is really happening. I'm excited but it also feels a little too real. But I'm excited to live with Kellie and we will make it through freaking out together.
The apartment is adorable. Two bedroom, two bath with a washer and dryer in the unit. A screened in porch, and a lovely kitchen and living room area. It's perfect for us.

I wish we could keep their furniture! It was decorated so perfectly!
This isn't our exact apartment but it will look almost identical. The cabinets may be a different color and small things like that. But the bedrooms are exactly the same size, although one has a tub and the other only a shower, so Kellie will have to decide which one she wants more. The closets are huge and the kitchen isn't so small that you can't even have two people stand in it at once.
We pretty much fell in love.
The complex itself is nice too. Two pools, a tennis court, a car wash, there is plenty of parking and it is right near a grocery store and tons of shopping, and the highway.
I'm excited, we got pretty lucky.
I'm so happy I have a place to go when I get off the ship, and I will be living in the same place for at least 12 months.
Oh man. *deep breath* Here comes the real world.
