Three Days Off Is Too Many...

I have had the entire weekend off, including today. While I have had a lovely time being lazy, I think three days in a row is too many.

I really didn't do much, laundry, go to the gym, sleep. The average day off activities.

Well, actually, Saturday morning I went into the Magic Kingdom with Angie for about two hours. She had her first full day of work as a character attendant in the Magic Kingdom. But, she had only trained in EPCOT and Animal Kingdom, and she had only been to the park when she was really, really little. So, I took her around and gave her a tour of the park so that she would know where Guest Relations, First Aid, and other important locations are. We got there just as the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party was heading down Main Street. We were standing right in town square so I got some awesome pictures.

What great timing!

Since we were there on September 1st they had all of the Halloween decorations out, although it wasn't too Halloweeny yet, more fall themed. But it was beautiful. I am so excited that I will be working here this time of year.

We also went into Circus World, the new part of the park. I hadn't been there yet, so I was excited to check it out. It was pretty cool. The new Dumbo ride is huge, mostly because there is two of them. It is all themed, and has a really nice queue line. It finally feels like the crazy popular Dumbo ride has a real home. They also have a whole section that looks like a stopped circus train. All of the animals are sticking out of the train and they all spit water everywhere. It was almost 95 degrees out and the kids in the area where having a ball getting soaking wet.

We also saw Peter Pan! We didn't have time to meet him but its still fun to see characters from a far.

The only ride we went on was The People Mover. We didn't have time to wait in lines and we were really hot so that seemed like the perfect ride.

When I got home from hanging in the park I was starving so I made the biggest fruit salad ever and ate the whole thing.

I have huge fruit obsession right now. I can not get enough of it. Yummy.

That night I got to hang out with some of my sisters. They were up in Orlando, staying at a Disney hotel, for labor day weekend. I met them and we went to Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney for dinner.

We walked through Pleasure Island. Although it is not as pleasurable as it used to be. They got rid of all the night clubs a few years ago and now its just restaurants. It is still pretty popping, there is a lot of live music. They got rid of them right before I turned 18. I was very unhappy. It was one thing that I was waiting for, clubbing at Disney, sounds awesome and not that dangerous at the same time. But they wanted it to be more family friendly. :(

We walked through Pleasure Island and into Marketplace, which is where all of the shopping is, and where Ghirardelli is.

We went to Ghirardelli for ice cream. Ghirardelli is the most delicious ice cream and chocolate I have ever eaten. My favorite chocolate of theres is Sea Salt Soiree. Its dark chocolate with almonds and a dash of salt. It doesn't sound that good but it is delicious. Their ice cream is to die for as well, so creamy and delicious. The chocolate ice cream cone I had was my treat of the week. Yum.

I had a fantastic time with my sisters, it was great to see them.

After Saturday my weekend got real boring. I just did those average things that I talked about earlier. It was really good that I did laundry though, I hadn't done it since I got here and I was desperately in need of it. I also went through all of the clothes that I still have in boxes and put everything away. Now our room is really clean... sort of. I got rid of a lot of stuff but I still have too much stuff. It never seems to end.

I also spent the weekend getting presents for all of my loves. The process of doing that made me realize how many wonderful people I am friends with. I am very blessed to be surrounded by such love. I never imagined I would be where I am today. Thank you to all of my friends, you are fantastic for putting up with and joining my insanity.

I enjoyed my days off but I am ready to go back to work tomorrow. I am working at night so I still get to sleep in. Yay sleep! Eh, I'll probably still get up at a decent time and go to the gym. First full week of work here I come!
