Day 9

I wasn't going to blog today because I slept until noon and then basically just did homework. But I am loving my every day streak so I decided I needed to.

The ship left the port at 20:00. In order to do that we had to do a 360 degree turn, or a K turn, in order to go back out the way we came in. It wasn't that thrilling because we did it so slowly, but it was very impressive.

Right after we left we had our post-port where we are able to share our experiences in country. A lot of people got lost. A lot of people had language barrier issues. It is not common to smile at people in Russia, it means you either want something from them or are offering yourself to them. Because of this they don't look like the most friendly people. But many people had great experiences where they were hopelessly lost or were trying to find something and after they approached someone that person went out of their way to help them without expecting anything in return.

I needed to do a little laundry, and so did some in the shower. It worked fine but it took forever. That is definitely not my favorite way to do laundry.

I was really disappointed that I couldn't share pictures with you guys. I personally believe that pictures are a valuable tool to telling a story. I keep throwing words at you but I really wish you could picture it. Now that I think about it, that may say something about my skills as a writer. I'll work on that…

Anyway, I think I found a solution to this issue, if it works. I know that I can attach a photo to the emails and it will appear at the bottom of the blog. But I can't send too many pictures because it takes too much of the internet.

I am obsessed with newsletters and now that I am not making them for work I figured why not make one for my travels to show you all what I am doing. So, I did, made it into a photo and will attach it to this email in the hopes that blogger will do something with it and you will be able to look at.

Could someone tell me if it works or not?
