Day Two of Disney

Today was day two of Disney awesomeness. The most depressing thing I learned was that I am not allowed to hand things on my walls. I am the picture queen. My room is going to be so depressing. I am so depressed. Grrr. Seriously, they should just let you hang things on the walls and then say that you are responsible for any damages. I would be perfectly fine with that!

The good news is that the welcome session where I learned this depressing news was actually very entertaining. First, it was like a party, all the cast members were dancing and music.

The woman who conducted it was extremely perky. Her name was Sara and the first thing she said to us, after making us do the wave, was "My name is Sara, people call me Sara Smiles and I am still trying to figure out why." Then everyone laughed because she was literally the smiliest person in the world. She is definitely in the right job. I loved her.

We learned the basic information at the session. What we can't have in the apartments, how having guests over works, and the different resources available to us. We were only in the session for about 50 minutes so it wasn't too long or too short. And Sara made it interesting. The most entertaining part was when she started talking about the different things we can't have in the complex. She started pulling props out of a bag. She pulled out a paintball gun and a rubber clever; she did not look comfortable holding either of those things. And then she pulled a small Hooka out and held it like it was about it explode. We were all laughing so hard. Her favorite thing to say was A-ok. "If you want to do drugs somewhere else, that is A-ok!" She was fantastic.

It was a great start to my Disney Adventure. My impression so far is that Disney likes to have fun, which is something I already assumed and I am glad that it is true.

Except for the fact that I can't hang anything on the walls. So sad.

After our welcome session was over my roomies and I went grocery shopping finally. I stocked up on food and other miscellaneous things that I needed. Things like hangers, bath mats, and soap. We had two carts full with all of our stuff but I now feel fully prepared and like I won't starve to death.

Tomorrow is a free day, we have absolutely nothing going on. So, our plan is to hit the pool, and then go to the housing party that they are throwing. It is a Mad Hatter Tea Party. There will be free food, tie dying, and characters from Alice and Wonderland and Mary Poppins. I'm excited.
